Last night I felt a bit like making a logo for Less Boring Games. Lo, here is the logo which I produced. This was based on my sketches from a while ago.

So I got this text pic from girlfriend last night showing off her awesome newly straightened hair. I had my sketchbook open and my markers out, so working from my tiny cell phone I sketched this quickly before bed.

Just sat down after watching the 200 meter sprint on the 2012 Olympics and felt like sketching. Out popped an Olympic runner. Or at least, a runner. Or at least, a poor sketch of a runner.

So recently I've been working on a rigging/animation editor for my game project, Optimism. A couple days ago I finished up some of the skeletal modelling features and came up with these images after playing around with it for a while.

I was out on the back porch of my Aunt's lovely house in Laguna Hills, writing a letter at around 1:00 am. Forgetting that the house contained a cat who moonlights as an escape artist, I neglected to close the sliding door all the way.
The cat escaped and ran into the night. Maybe ten minutes later, it came back chasing a mouse which was making the most alarming noises I've ever heard come from something so small. I witnessed the cat succeed in catching the mouse in its jaws & prance happily back into the darkness, the mouse's raspy squeals losing their biting volume as it's lungs fail.

We're thinking of reverting to a simpler style of character for Optimsm, mostly in order to get a more stylized and "cute" look to it, but also because we're gonna have to draw so many freaking characters.
